Artist's Comments

Another Lucky Star fanart, a request from the Raki-Suta imageboard... Konata in 1940's Russian uniform with a Mosin Nagant sniper rifle. The internets are interesting sometimes.
I threw in Kagami and a lame reference to the theme song for good measure.

Ink, Photoshop, ~ 6½ hours total.

@Kyoto Animation, the original creator of the manga I need to check that shit out some day and MOTHER RUSSIA

I really like the gun bits
:iconragathol:
They might not all be in correct proportion to each other, but I thought it was funnier than just drawing the gun, when I found such excellent reference...
:iconjohanz:
This is so fun, putting together a gun~

In Soviet Russia, gun dismantles YOU.

I love your graphics for the BG (nice attention to detail opportunities like Kagami's ribbons). And much, MUCH ♥ for taking the time to draw all that hardware in correct perspective (it's a painfully easy thing to neglect). Even like how you indicated shiny vs. matte materials.

Hmmm, can't help but think the ground could use a more speckled look...? I only say this because there's so many things about this picture that look right that maybe there's one last thing? ^_^;

Thank you :3
I used a concrete texture from Quake 3(I think?) for the floor. Maybe I should update my texture folder a bit...

Lol.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
